Katie loves presenting on ITV and being pitchside for the Women’s World Cup final was very special. She’s also presented the Arnold Clark Cup and the EFL Highlights show. Katie is ITV’s lead England Reporter for the Lionesses. Within the role, she’s in charge of their matchday reporting, home and abroad, creates in depth features and provides team updates from inside the England camp.
Katie’s now covered England’s 2023 World Cup, the UEFA Nations League, Arnold Clark Cup and the Euros (Sky Sports) for the Lionesses.
Katie loves a good story, so when the FA Cup comes knocking, it’s one of her favourite events to cover. From non-league to Premier League, Katie encapsulates the romance of the FA Cup and weaves that into her storytelling for features, interviews and pitchside reporting all the way until the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Katie is a regular face on Sky Sports. Whether it’s having a laugh with Jeff Stelling on Soccer Saturday - now Simon Thomas - to presenting pitchside with guests at top flight grounds, Katie enjoys reporting on all the stories from the EFL. Plus, speaking one-on-one with managers and players after historic, euphoric or heartbreaking moments in the Premier League.
Katie’s dulcet tones can also be heard describing the thrills and spills of the EFL through Sky’s League 1 & League 2 Goals Show.

Katie really enjoys being part of Prime Video’s Premier League coverage as their pitchside reporter.
From interviewing Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Antonio Conte to name a few. She uses her journalistic nouse to deliver strong storylines, ask the tough questions, whilst in the same breath, being able to switch and turn on her infectious enthusiasm to create entertaining interviews whether that’s with players or fans for the programme.

As a former international athlete, presenting on the Tokyo Olympics will forever stay with her. She presented on the Red Button, bouncing around 33 sports in her fun, entertaining manner.
The same can be said for her role covering Wimbledon 2021 and the Beijing Winter Olympics on the BBC. For the Commonwealth Games, Katie brought her expertise to brighten up the stories for those watching at home.
Katie’s first TV appearances started with BBC Sports News.
Anchoring programmes and bulletins on BBC One, BBC News Channel, and BBC World broadcasting to hundreds of millions of viewers. When the Tokyo Olympics were postponed in 2020, Katie broke the news to the nation in a calm, composed but authoritative manner. From global stories such as Manchester City’s UEFA ban, Deadline Day to Premier League manager sackings.
Before that, Katie was reporting from centre court at Eastbourne tennis, presenting on Euro 2020 and the Champions League Final for BBC Sport News. Plus, bringing her insight, energy, and enthusiasm every weekend as the goals fly in across the country with previous stints at BBC Sport’s Final Score and BT Sport.
She’s affectionately dubbed “Save The Show Shanahan” for her status as the presenter who can seamlessly handle any live arena, at the pinnacle moments of national sports broadcasting.
Her foundation years at the BBC, covering Wimbledon to the Olympics, set her trajectory to today. With professional qualifications built over two decades, she has garnered unrivalled experience to establish the trust earned to become a leader in the field.
